Urban Decay Naked Palette 2
Last year I was absolutely obsessed with the very first Urban Decay Naked Palette. When this little beauty launched last year it sold out so many places that you had to literally wait to see if it was back in stock and if you weren’t there to pick one of these bad little beauties up you were out of luck.

Low and behold of course due to their amazing success with the first Naked Palette of course Urban Decay would release their second one. This highly anticipated palette contains pigmented colors ranging from taupes, shimmering browns and purples and a matte black . Really it’s a little bit of everything.

Now here are some things that I noticed: Half baked a familiar color makes a comeback in this palette which is great because this pretty gold color complements the purple shades you’ll also find in this palette. This shades seems to be in the cooler tones. There are more purple and pinkish tones in this palette instead of browns and bronzes in the original palette. What I liked is that blackout a complete matte black shadow that is pretty intense and has good color payout like all the rest of the Urban Decay shadows. It is perfect for a real smokey eye look or to use as a liner.
Now I’ve posted a picture with swatches of the new Urban Decay Naked Palette 2. One being my current skin tone of NC 25 in MAC which is fair with an olive undertone and the other in NC 42 in MAC which is more on the olive tan side. As you can see the top swatch the colors are more vibrant on me because of my skin tone. Colors like foxy and bootycall get a little lost on me. But looks great with on someone who is on the tanner side. Where’s its vice verse with chopper. Looks great on me but gets lost on the other skin tone. As you can see the shades look completely different on both skin tones. But it still is versatile and will work with any skin tone.

So if you’re still wondering if you should pick one of these up my advice to you is to go to your local Urban Decay counter, a Sephora or Ulta and test it on yourself. You never know. You might like the first one better if you don’t have one yet. I’m a fan of Urban Decay shadows. They are highly pigmented, long wearing, and blends great which is the main reason why I love their shadows. So whether or not you decide to pick up one of these lovely palettes, you’re still going to get really great results with any of their other shadows.
Urban Decay Naked Palette 2 retails for $50.
